Anjali Bansal was born in Canada but spent her early years moving between the US and Canada. Anjali and her family finally called NJ home in 1989. After graduating from university with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Math, she completed a Masters degree in Software Engineering. She currently works full time for an international consulting company as a Systems Analyst, but is happily pursuing her passion for fashion as she grows her clothing line, Rivazz.

Her hobbies include playing volleyball, golf, working out, traveling, fashion and exploring the latest hot spots.

Anjali Bansal will serve as President of NetIP Philadelphia for 2008, after having served previously as our Social and Cultural chair, as well as stepping into the role of Co-President in mid-2007. She is excited lead the organization this year, and brings endless energy, enthusiasm and a combination of both fun an professionalism to the board. She welcomes all questions, concerns and suggestions. Let's make 2008 and year to remember!

Vandana Gupta, born and raised in Philadelphia, has been involved with NetIP Philadelphia from its early days in 1996! Vandana began as PR chair, then moved on to a position as National Liaison, and served as the elected NetIP North America Chair in 1998. Recent efforts include Co-Chairing the 2003 NetIP National Conference and occupying the Co-Director role of NetIP Philadelphia.

Professionally, Vandana co-owns a UK based record company, Sunset Records, with internationally acclaimed singer/song writer Apache Indian. Together they sign and develop musical talent all across the world. Vandana's hobbies include watching basketball, traveling, and good music.

Nitin Salkade was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. He has been a member of NetIP since 2004 and on the board since 2006. He served on the board as Professional Development Chair in 2007 and as Membership Chair in 2006. Nitin is very active in the Indian community in Philadelphia. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Philadelphia Marathi Mandal since 2002, and on the Executive Committee of the Council of Indian Organizations since 2004.

Professionally, Nitin is an investment accountant for a major financial services company. He has been working in the securities industry for the past seven years. Nitin is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and a candidate for Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation. Nitin graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a Bachelors degree in Finance.

Aside from work and community activities, Nitin enjoys watching sports, especially professional football and basketball. He is a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Shantala Surya is a dynamic member of the Philadelphia community. She brings flavor to the board wth her flair for PR Spin. This one has years of experience to cushion the multiple hats she wears on the NetIP Philly board. As Public Relations and Marketing Chair, she expects to generate such resounding publicity that NetIP Philly events are THE place to see and be seen. As Historian she captures photos and commemorates the various events. And finally, as Political Awareness Chair, she dreams of enlightening the Philadelphia Desi community on current affairs, issues, and women's happenings.

Shantala is currently doing graduate studies at Drexel University towards a Science Technology and Society Masters. Her bachelor degree was in International Area Studies with a concentration in Justice and Human Rights. Under her belt, she also holds two minors in History & Politics and Women's Studies.

Hitha Palepu is a new member of NetIP Philadelphia and the Board, serving as the Social/Cultural Chair for 2008. She looks forward to her new role and is excited to host new, different events for the NetIP community. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please send them along to her!

Hitha now calls Philadelphia home, having moved around the country throughout her life and moving back to PA for the third time in 2007. After graduating from the University of Washington in 2006 with degrees in Biochemistry and History, she began her career with Cisco Systems as an account manager, supporting pharmaceutical companies in the tri-state area.

In addition to serving on the NetIP board, Hitha is an active member of the Young Friends of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She enjoys watching sports, cooking, running, reading, following world affairs and politics, and sleeping when she has the chance (failing that, enjoying a strong cup of coffee).

Yogesh Kantharia joins NetIP Philadelphia board as Membership Co-Chair. He received a Masters in Business Administration (Finance) from Saint Joseph's University, Philadelphia in December 2007.

In his spare time, Yogesh enjoys spending time with friends, exploring Philly's latest hot spots, reading, watching sports and movies. He also likes photography. He looks forward to his new role as Membership Co-Chair and can always be reached by e-mail with any suggestions or questions.

Aesha Desai joined the NetIP Philadelphia board in the second half of 2007 as Membership Chair, and she continues as Co-Chair in 2008. She welcomes any questions or suggestions about the organization and how to get involved.

She was born and raised in the Philadelphia area and graduated from Ursinus College with a Bachelors degree in Finance and Accounting. Next, Aesha attended Drexel University where she received a Masters in Business Administration in Finance and Accounting. Currently, she is a third year law student at Villanova University and hopes to pursue a career in corporate law after graduation.

In her spare time, Aesha enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, working out, reading, shopping, and watching movies and Philly sports.

Khuram Chaudhary was born and raised in Connecticut. After graduating from the University of Rochester, Khuram pursued a master's degree and doctorate from Temple University School of Medicine in cardiac physiology.

Khuram has worked for several pharmaceutical companies as a research scientist, including Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline. Having lived throughout the east coast and mid-west including Boston, Connecticut, Philadelphia, Michigan, St. Louis, and Houston, he is back in Philly!

Khuram has been a member of the American Heart Association for 10 years, and have been involved in several local events including the American Heart Walk, and Wear Red for Women with Heart Disease Month. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, volleyball, golf, biking on the Schuykill trail, watching college basketball, and most of all RUNNING!
